Glossary: Cadence

In various sports, the cadence or frequency is a measure of how often a particular movement is performed. The most common use of this is "stride rate" (number of steps per minute [spm], no matter which foot is used) for running and "cadence" (number of crank revolutions per minute [rpm]) for cycling.
